If you are a real estate investor you already have a brand. Everything you do or say is a reflection of your brand, good or bad, proactively or passively.
That is why it is so important to both understand what your brand is AND ensure you are consistently managing it.
And this is not a one time or occasional action you take. It’s now and every day.
Jeff Bezos the founder of Amazon is quoted as saying “Your brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room.”
Think about that for a moment.
What are people saying about you?
Not sure what people are saying about your real estate investing business? Ask them. Pick 3-5 clients (or people that know your business fairly well) and ask them the following three quick questions:
- If you had to choose 1-3 words to describe me (or your business name) what would they be?
- If someone asked about my business how would you explain what I do?
- If someone asked what it is like working with our business what would you say?
Got the answers?
Now ask yourself, if I was looking for a real estate investor to do business with would I choose me?
If the answer is no, you have some work to do!
